CLIMATE CHANGE
Global Warming 1920's 1940's http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2007/12/071210094332.htm Digging through the old data, Herrington found a map from 1932 and an aerial photo from 1933 that documented how, during a warm period, the Kangerdlugssuaq Glacier lost a piece of floating ice that was nearly the size of New York 's Manhattan Island .
GLOBAL COOLING
In 1979 Time Magazine reported that we were heading for a global ice age. It was a very cold winter.
Astronomy Picture of the Day -- website
Every eleven years, our Sun goes through a solar cycle. A complete solar cycle has now been imaged by the sun-orbiting SOHO spacecraft .

A solar cycle is caused by the changing magnetic field of the Sun, and varies from solar maximum , when sunspot , coronal mass ejection , and flare phenomena

Active Region 1002 on an Unusually Quiet Sun
Credit: SOHO Consortium , EIT , ESA , NASA Explanation: Why has the Sun been so quiet recently? No one is sure. Our Sun has shown few active regions -- that house even fewer associated sunspots -- for over a year now.

The Sun is in a transitional period between solar cycles called a Solar Minimum , where solar activity has historically been reduced.
CO2 does not cause a rise in global temp'
The opposite is true. Global warming actually causes a rise in CO2.

Part of the answer to climate change comes from looking at stars. Stars pulsate, and fluctuate They do not maintain a constant temperature. This is true of our own Sun, as well. As the Sun's temperature fluctuates, so does the temperature of the solar system

One reason for the temperature fluctuation is electromagnetic.
The sun has many shifting electromagnetic poles that rise and fall in number. When the number is high the sun spawns many "sun spots."These spots erupt and spew radiation into the solar system, warming things up.These sun spot cycles last about eleven years, then calm down, for a while.
SO WHAT HAS BEEN GOING ON?

And there were others.

Did you watch, or read,
Al Gore's Inconvenient Truth?

So did I. Have you see this one? Watch the worlds top Climatologist talk about Climate change. They say that Gore is full of it.

Here is a graph of Earth's climate history.
Note that there are LONG periods of heat, hotter than we have today.
There are wild fluctuations, long before man hand any influence.

Notice, also, that today is not even the hottest period around.
What is "NORMAL!" for our planet?
by Glenn Woods

I always laugh when I hear the local weatherman say "Rainfall is below normal"or, "below normal cold for the next few days."

What is normal?

Normal is that this planet does not ever stay the same. We go from very hot to very cold. From windy to calm. From too much rain to too little. That is normal.

What is the OPTOMAL temperature for this planet? If you think that the answer is - when you feel comfortable - you would be very wrong.

The most life has existed on this planet when the temperature was far warmer than anything that you or I have ever experienced. Also, when the CO2 level has been far higher then it is today. -- If that is the case then CO2 and Global Warming are NOT bad for earth.

Norman is change.
Change is normal.
---Glenn Woods
The point is,
that nothing unusual has been happening.

Do coal burning plants produce pollution?
YES THEY DO!

But C02 is not one of them
C02 is the building block of all life on this planet anddoes not cause global warming.

  •  Sulfur dioxide (SO2), which causes acid rain that damages forests, lakes, and buildings, and forms small airborne particles that can penetrate deep into lungs.

  • Small airborne particles, which can cause chronic bronchitis, aggravated asthma, and premature death, as well as haze obstructing visibility.

  • Nitrogen oxide (NOx), as much as would be emitted by half a million late-model cars. NOx leads to formation of ozone (smog) which inflames the lungs, burning through lung tissue making people more susceptible to respiratory illness.

  •  Carbon monoxide (CO), which causes headaches and place additional stress on people with heart disease.

  • Hydrocarbons, volatile organic compounds (VOC), which form ozone.

  • Mercury, where just 1/70th of a teaspoon deposited on a 25-acre lake can make the fish unsafe to eat.

  • Arsenic, which will cause cancer in one out of 100 people who drink water containing 50 parts per billion.

  • Lead, 4 pounds of cadmium, other toxic heavy metals, and trace amounts of uranium.
Here is a list of actual pollutants that we should be capping.
In fact. CO2 is in Soda, (carbonated beverage) and you can see it rising as a clear, odorless gas. Belch away, its safe.
